I wasn't sure whether to post all of it, but in the end I decided the length of the thing was probably a good indication of just how much is going on with the N85, lol. I'm still not sure about this phone - Nokia's most technologically ambitious products are usually experimental at best by the time they reach the consumer. That, and late.

The N95 camera is rated highly with the Carl Zeiss optics - something which the N80 apparently is quite poor at (shame on Nokia for not having flagship optics on their flagship handset!). Many appear to be disappointed with these. I'm sort of glad that I did not take the plunge for a SIM-free - the spec was mouthwatering, but the reality of the Camera quality put me right off. The N95 could do it for me ...... but by June 2007 who knows what choices will be on the table before me |

Any idea on price yet? Ive seen rumors of about 550 euros which works out about £380 which is toooo much :\ obviously people on eBay will be selling it for £250-£300 like normal with latest phones. I might pick one off ebay in March when my Vodafone contract ends cause i want to go back to PAYG and change phone.
Cant wait too see some video made with the phone and pictures taken with it, theres quite alot of videos of the n95 in action @ the mo on youtube :d looks a wicked phone though bit of a shame about only 160mb internal memory although im not complaining much Downsides - Low memory, kak battery aswell, buttons seem a bit small to press (numberkeys) Upside - Everything else Last edited by Gagz : 26th October 2006 at 09:04 PM. |

At launch i would expect a sim free price around £600 for the people who can't wait. I was in this group but might wait a bit... Say 6 weeks. I am gonna get a tytn.. Well a m3100 which is hsdpa and use that for a bit. Plus i have a review n95 coming december or january before launch so expect lots of info about it on here

I've been having a play today - Lots and lots of fun this is..
I think I've DEFINITELY found the first candidate for My Next Phone. The best app so far? Connecting via the office wi-fi and downloading the top 100 Google Videos. Tops. EDIT - I expected it to be so much bigger - I can't get over how managable it is - y'know? It's not that huge at all.. |

Admittedly - it IS a bit buggy - but yeah - it is VERY smooth..
The buttons are a bit fiddly mind. The left and right 'softkeys' are a bugger to get to sometimes - and it's not entirely clear which button you should be pushing etc.. But I do like it. The 5mp cam is just amazing. Booting the cam up with that huge screen just has to be seen to be believed! One thing of note - no 'pop-port' - it has, what seems to be, a mini-usb port on the base. Moving round to the right side it has the same buttons as the N73, (Take Photo, Gallery, Volume), on the top: the power button and on the left we have the 3.5mm Jack, IR and mem card door. But yeah - no Nokia pop-port. Hmmm.. |

(believe it or not!) Plus - if all of them are labelled then we know which ones are ours and which ones are testers that we have to send back... Notice - no sticker on the N95... *sniff* ..s'gotta go back eventually. Reckon I might see if I can steal it away for the weekend or something. One thing I noticed immediately (and I may've already mentioned this) is the size of the thing. I was expecting it to be much bigger... But - well you can see - it's no bigger than you're average S60 handset. Hehehe.. |
