Hello nudge, welcome to Talk3G!
In addition to what 3g-g says, if you can install the Nokia PC Suite and hook up the N70 via your USB cable (that should be included) then you can install the Settings Wizard (thanks to MORPH for reminding me this existed for download). Settings Wizard is a program that, once on your phone, helps you automatically configure your handset for whatever SIM card you have inserted. Best of luck. ![]() |

Did you use the Settings Wizard that came on the Nokia CD or did you download the latest and greatest from Nokia's website? http://www.europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,...html?model=N70
Just a thought - and perhaps easier - the Nokia website has a facility to get the settings sent to you via SMS. Try this link, select what you want, your phone model and Nokia will SMS you the settings http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,77073,00.html ![]() |

How bizzare... even my 6680's settings wizard correctly configures the handset for Three
![]() Ok, I think the best solution if you need someone to talk you through the settings is to call Three again. Ask them to walk you through setting up access to Three's services and to Three's MMS. Alternatively, if you know your way around your mobile, try inputting these settings: For the web browser: Access point name: three.co.uk Homepage http://mobile.three.co.uk/ In MMS: Data bearer - packet data Access point name : three.co.uk Homepage - http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc Any options not mentioned can be left as no/none or n/a. ![]() |

NOT recommended at all. Three hide parts of the network menu on their phones and this could be a problem if you are in a fringe coverage area - your phone will keep dropping calls but with the hidden menu you can switch the phone onto 2G. ![]() |

![]() OK this is what I added first of all the MMS settings.
I created an access point for 3 MMS for this data bearer packet data access point name three.co.uk usname none password prompt no authentication normalhomepage http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc Options button then choose advanced: proxy serv add mms.three.co.uk port no 8799 THis is the settings that I used for the Triangle button for the 3 webpage Create a new access point just called 3 for the websettings. Do this as follows to do it menu> web options> settings> click access point> new access point> connection name 3 data bearer packet access point name three.co.uk homepage http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/n70/HutchKey then select that as the access point and that will work for the triangle key or if you just hold down the button 0 This all worked fine for me! Hope it does for you ![]() ![]() |

Whats wrong with the Nokia Settings Wizard instead of all this manual typing.
It has all the settings you could want for all UK networks plus many others and has all the settings for O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin, Vodafone, Manx Telecom and Three. It also does the email too so cant see what you are all messing about at....its not new either I had it on my 6600.... Is there only me heard of this tool.... ![]() http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,76742,00.html ![]() |
