n70 offline

hi,can anybody help? the n70 that i have keeps reverting to "work offline",when i go into profiles and select general,outdoor,meeting or whatever,it then says insert sim card,when of course it is in.my sim works perfectly in my lg phone so i dont think theres owt wrong with that.any one else had this prob?craig

I'd suggest a First Line of attack by cleaning the SIM contacts as well as the contacts inside the handset itself by brusing very gently with a CLEAN pencil rubber (eraser). Pukka rubber does better than the synthetic erasers, but they would do also. It could be that you have some light but not visible contamination preventing a good contact with the SIM.

Failing that you could have a hardware fault with the N70 and need a replacement or warranty work. Carphone Warehouse are the official Nokia repairer and as the N70 is so new it will still be under warranty if your seller wont replace it for you.
