Series 40 vs. series 60

Hi,

Like most of you guys I'm desperate for a 6280!

But was wondering, could anyone explain what the actual differences between a series 40 handset like the 6280 and a series 60 handset. My past 2 handsets (6600 + 7610) have been series 60 so I wanted to know what the change to 40 would mean. Would i have to sacrifice particular features or applications?
