Default Anyone Purchased This From Carphone Warehouse?

I was looking on their website about this phone and should be getting it this weekend, as 4.99 a month for 6 months seemed awesome! But one thing I dont understand is what is the price per month after the 6 month period because i am confused by what i am seeing on the site. It has £30 crossed out, then £15 for three months? Help!

It will be £30/month after the 1st 6 months. thats the Talk & Text 600 Tarriff (500 X/Net mins and 100 SMS).

Overall you will pay £450 for the phone and the line rental over your 18 month contract.

You will not have any access to the Internet and calls will drop when the phone moves from 3's coverage to 02 (thier UK roaming partner). Content is expensive on 3 also. Bear in mind the handset cannot be unlocked easily and no dealers have a solution to provide release from the network lock currently.

Before you take the plunge, look at Vodafone's deal on-line as their 'stop the clock' feature can provide a lot of call time within a 200 minute tarriff which comes with 250 SMS for £5 less than 3's deal. They charge £50 upfront for the handset but thats a small price for full functionality.

Heres the link to the one i am talking about: http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/com...OFFER&tabname=
This one is a 12 month contract. From what I see it looks like for the first 6 months its 4.99. Then for 3 months after that its 15 a month, and then the final 3 months are 30 each. Take a look.

On another note does this phone have a hole for a carrying strap?

Hmm nope it just works out as 6 months at £4.99 afaik, then full price. Basically it's a little confusing because 3 months are given half price by 3 and then the rest is made up by redemption.

Yes, the phone has a hole for a lanyard.

You'll love the phone!

Or even have a look at the Orange offering

At the moment the exclusive online tariffs are good

200 mins 500 text for £30 a month, plus if you buy the phone right now you a get a Kodak printer worth £199.99 and its really good too, not some junk rubbish. Ok the phone will set you back 79.99 on that tariff, but its worth it for the stuff you get and its only 12 months contract

Ive just got mine from CPW for £3.99 for first 6 months then £30 for the next totaling £203.94.
My O2 contract runs out in 5 months so this should work out ok.
of course ill cancel my 3 contract as soon as i can. just wanted the phone quickly to use with tomtom5 and cant wait for the N series to come out.

you do realise that your first 6 months bills wont be for £3.99 - this is what it works out at over the year after the cashback. On a 12 month contract Three will charge you have price for the first 3 months and then its full price for the remaining 9 months. You have to claim the rest back from CPW.
If I have got it correct your tariff is actually £17 per month for 12 months...

12 months at £30 £360
less 3 months at £15 -45
less month 4 cashback -55.53
less month 8 cashback -55.53
total cost £203.94
per month £16.99

but that doesnt sound as good as 6 months at £3.99 does it.....so they hide the remaining 6 months at £30 and hope you only see the £3.99 but its all immaterial anyway as these are not actual monthly payments. One day they will no doubt try saying 6 months at 99p.....
