Browsing the 3 UK website today and the Nokia 6630/80 have been added to the 'pay monthly' line up.

About time too!

If anyone buys direct from three or gets an upgrade can they post their firmware versions? Can you also state whether 3 have influenced the firmware in any way, for instance the way voda do. This might be useful.

@gorilla - if Three are true to form they will have savaged the factory standard OS to be in favour of their own branding and crippling of functionality.

Tried to look at the links above, but they didn't function at that time!

I'm still wondering if I should/can update my firmware, but if these latest 3 handset have their own branding, I think I'll wait a while longer.

Firmware for teh 6680 can be changed to factory standard or one of the other mobops brandings by those unlockers/reflashers who have the Jaf kit (I don't). At the moment unlocking the BB5 security for SP lock has not been cracked, but that too will only be a matter of time.

Wait if you want to go unbranded and unlocked - buy now if you just want unbranded but bear in mind you'll lose your Three warranty in the process.
