Post T-Mobile UK gains 845,000 subs

From Forbes (26/01/2006):

FRANKFURT (AFX) - Deutsche Telekom AG said its T-Mobile division won around 3.6 mln new customers in the fourth quarter on the back of strong growth at the US subsidiary T-Mobile USA, while its DSL broadband business benefited from 'strong growth'.

T-Mobile USA added 1.4 mln new customer in the quarter, while the German mobile business gained more than 810,000 clients and T-Mobile UK won some 845,000 customers.

In the whole of 2005, the mobile division won 9.0 mln clients, bringing last year's customer total to nearly 87 mln.

The number of DSL broadband lines increased by 762,000 -- up 40 pct year-on-year -- in the fourth quarter to over 8.5 mln, the company added.
