Huawai e586 wont reset to factory settings

hi all

i cant seem to reset my hauwai e586 to factory settings, i push the reset button until the screen goes black and the mifi reboots but has not reset. what am i doing wrong?

I presume you are pressing the concealed Reset button on the E586 after taking the back cover off?

What settings are persisting that make you believe it is not restoring to the original factory settings?
