For those who have had their LG U81xx handsets unlocked from H3 and now want to use them with Vodafone there are some customisations that you will have to make in the handset before you can use MMS and Browser (Triangle)facilities. Ordinarily you will find that SMS works fine. The following script should assist you in correctly setting up your handset.
These settings will be lost and have to be re-entered if you factory reset your LG U81xx handset.
APN Settings (Menu 9 5 Options, Add New)
Connection Title = Vodafone PRS
Bearer = GPRS
Username = wap
Password = wap
APN = pp.vodafone.co.uk (for PAYT) or wap.vodafone.co.uk (for pay monthly)
MMS Centre (Menu 1 8 2 6 Options, Add New)
Title = Vodafone MMS
MMSC URL = http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy = 212.183.137.012:8799
Connection Mode = TCP
Access point = Vodafone GPRS
Browser Settings (Menu 6 6 1 Options, Add New)
Service name = Vodafone
Homepage = http://live.vodafone.com
Connection mode = TCP without Proxy (1)
IP Address = 212.183.137.012
Proxy = 9201 (2)
Security = NonSecure
Timeout = 300
Access point = Vodafone GPRS
NB.
1 - Contract customers try setting to "TCP with Proxy" if this setting does not work
2 - Only needed by contract customers using TCP with Proxy setting
