Three have written to me to tell me that due to VAT and inflation my £15/3GB tariff will now be £15.99.

Anyone else been similarly notified? I don't really 'get' the inflation adjustment... never, ever seen that before on a recurring bill?

VAT is changing from 17.5% to 20%, is 99p 2.5% VAT?

10% of £15 = £1.50 so 2.5% 37.5p so according to 3, inflation is 62.4p

Thats such a Three thing to do, just when you think they might be getting better they go and remind you that they aren't. :)

I really would like to see some transparency rather than the blanket VAT and Inflation tag. Although, for that £15.99 you are still getting the largest data bundle of the lot. So its not all bad.

Bit of the old bait and switch though, luring you in with a great offer, then slowly ratcheting up the price. Not a bad tactic in the short term, but unlikely to do them any favours in the long term.

I pay £7.50 for 3gb allowance. They wrote to me stating the price will rise to £8.00 p/month

Not just me then, okay. I still think the inflation thing is just totally bizarre - they clearly don't want people to think they're just 'putting up their prices'.

On one hand I applaud the (slight) transparency. On the other I just think it's bonkers!
