Wow! A good find Paul.

Unlike its peers the Commtiva N700 is quite well specified and seems to be the first of the el cheapos to feature a capacitive touchscreen. I note that the earlier of such tabs (notably Next and Toys R Us) [seem to be by the same manufacturer] all had resistive touchscreens.

So, what are these super-size-me devices going to do? Will people use these as phones as well as tablets? Will they treat them as tablets? Or will they see them as hybrids, somewhere between a mobile phone and a full sized tablet such as the Apple iPad?

I am also left wondering what of the 10" tablet format. Is that going to turn out to be an aberration of Apple's and the rest of the world goes for the 7" screen? Perhaps as the technology develops we will see rival 10" tablets arriving.

That £299 is quite an appealing price point - especially as it is essentially a SIM-free 3G mobile phone too.

The year 2011 looks set to be very interesting for tablets.
