BitterWallet has now got the bit between their teeth --> http://www.bitterwallet.com/a-short-story-about-how-vodafone-treat-their-customers/30273

In dialogue with Vodaone senior management they also published an open letter. (http://http://www.bitterwallet.com/vodafone-data-charges-an-open-letter-to-jakub-hrabovsky-head-of-web-relations/29827)

Regardless of the tights and wrongs it does seem that Vodafone have made a complete PR hash of this. And by remaining tight lipped they are continuing to do themlves no favours at all. This has all the prospects of turning into a complete #fail for the corporation.

Oh dear.

What can I say. I'm glad someone is taking Vodafone to task over this in such a public way. It's clearly unacceptable for a company of Vodafone's magnitude to behave in this manner, and apparently try and sneak in an amendment to terms and conditions that its own staff don't seem to fully understand.

My only contribution would be if you're going to do something, do it. Vodafone clearly intend to make the change, so they should've just gone ahead and done it, giving the appropriate notice period and not giving such a long lead-in for all this negative sentiment to get started. Aggrieved customers should then be allowed to challenge the change to their terms and conditions as appropriate.

Frankly they're mad to even bother with any of this. They should simply implement a mechanism to contact the offending 3% of data customers and act upon them within their existing terms. Then change the terms for new connections if they must.

Ive looked on the vodafone fourm. It appears like three they very fast not to print a blunt reply or to close a thread when they are asked a simple question that they dont want to answer. I look forward to seeing how this runs as users may leave the network over it and Im shocked that a unoffical forum has not yet been set up to bypass the vodaofne bullying CS staff
