found out my netbook has an oem bios for vista, but acer only supports xp and 7 on it

wife bought me an acer aspire d250 for christmas, came with xp installed, just ran rw-everything and found it has a vista oem bios?

Perhaps Acer don't support Vista on it due to performance issues. A super-skinny version of Windows 7 might be better, though.

Vista was the reason Microsoft kept XP kicking for netbooks, extending its useless life yet further.

just weird that an acer recovery dvd will give me vista because of the bios
