Three really do nothing to help themselves, do they?

I am trying to activate a mobile broadband convert top-up on their website and it is constantly down, or partially working. This really sucks. I'm dreading phoning their Customer Services (sic) which will be a complete waste of time ("try wiping your sim with a clean dry cloth", "re-install Windows" and other such useless advice).

Ho hum ...

One has to wonder what outsourcing company created it and why someone with their head screwed on at 3 UK hasn't insisted it be fixed. Flakey tech is probably worse than none at all.

It is costing Three money and reputation. The My3 homepage is fine, its just when you need to get into the secure area to check balances, top up and convert top up to mobile broadband that you're stuck dead out of the water.

This is nothing new, its been going on for ages, and Twitter has been buzzing with it previously. Clearly Three have little to no effective resolution management. At least they should have staff on standby to re-boot the systems back into life. The HTTP 503 response suggests that the back-end system has either failed or stopped responding with an internal fault. It is not rocket science to get it back into life. I deal with this stuff all of the time!
