I have been getting plauged with calls from 3rd party companies on my mobile asking about upgrading on 3. I left them months ago and cancelled by mobile broadband with them this month.

3 seem to have provided my number (which has now been ported back to Vodafone) to resellers.

Shabby to say the least.

What a shower of chancers 3 are with no regard for customer privacy it seems.

Nasty.

Yea that happened with me too.

3, a company to be avoided at all costs.

Why do they do that?

Are they not breaking the Data Protection Act by passing information about customers to sales companies?

I found Orange do the same when i was with them back in 2005. They repeatedly called me over and over again. One of the callers eventually told me they weren't directly employed by Orange, just a call centre targeted to flog Orange phones.

Yeah, I had that problem with Orange after upgrading in Carphone Warehouse once.

With Vodafone, I've only ever dealt with Vodafone directly and never had a call about upgrading my mobile.

Interestingly even though I've only ever dealt with O2 directly for my iPhones I've had several cold calls on this number, too.

They all suck.

Nope - it turns out to have been T-Mobile according to my daily read ...
