Background: My 3 half price deal data contract has come to an end (3Gb for £7.50/month) Very liitle use to be honest but i have had my eye on the Mifi device.
Phone 3 call centre today saying I wanted to cancel now at end of contract and poor coverage etc etc
Was offered same deal £7.50 and 3 Gb with free Mifi device. I was happy with that as that is what I wanted.
Then, offered a new 3rd generation iPod touch for an extra £7/month for the next 18 months
7 x 18 =£126 rrp is £139

I am pretty pleased with the deal, just thought I would share this with fellow board members who may be in the same situation:rolleyes:

Seriously, if you can get a decent service with 3 where you are, and some certainly seem to, then that is a compelling deal - at the cost of 2 pints of beer a month it can't be bad. Nicely done sir.

MiFi and Touch - that's a nice combination. Ok, so I'd still rather have an iPhone, lol, but at least with the MiFi you can hook up any other gadgets, too - DS, laptop, whatever.

I'm probably on the same deal - 3GB/month @£7.50 - Got it thru QuidCo. My 18 months is up next month and was going to leave.. but I like the idea of the MiFi for £7.50..!

I might try the same next month. How does the MiFi work BTW?

As HandsOn always says, it's buyer beware with 3. I'd be tempted back to their network, just because I know I get pretty good coverage where I am, but it would take a good deal like the one mentioned above.

UPDATE, all working 100% to be fair.
Very nice little unit with good battery life.
Tried with Sony X series wifi walkman, all ok. iPod still in wrapping, just too busy to set it up

On a different note, I see 3 have dropped charges for incoming calls whilst roaming in South Ireland. Not too sure why, but useful for me as daughter works in the South .
