The Vodafone Mobile Connect software is crap, but fortunately on the Mac we don't have to see it once the connection is configured.

Yes, it's so crap that some people, me included, had to install it on Leopard under the root user. Fiddly.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with Snow Leopard 64bit, and it doesn't work with the Pro modem at all. Vodafone have pledged to sort the problem out, but there are still no updates: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=35609

Kinda wish I'd never upgraded, I honestly didn't think twice about the modem. Ironically my 3 UK dongle still works fine without a reinstall, so at least I've got my fallback.

Edit: Wanna know the best bit? After installing, inserting the Pro modem results in instant kernel panic =D

All sorted Ben - there is a post here https://talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7352 - I'm temporarily hosting the .dmg on MobileMe until Vodafone sort out their own link.

I've just run a speedtest on the white USB stick from home, through a VPN back to my ADSL LAN which is about as convoluted as the route can get. A good result methinks http://www.speedtest.net/result/595968321.png

Wow, it's so much better! They've like, completely re-written it! =D Am liking the auto-connect option in the software, I can just plug in the pro dongle and go now.

Also loving that I can now use both the Three dongle and the Vodafone dongle (obviously not at the same time) on the same MacBook Pro without them conflicting with each other.

Fantastico!
