The Vodafone Mobile Connect software is crap, but fortunately on the Mac we don't have to see it once the connection is configured.
Yes, it's so crap that some people, me included, had to install it on Leopard under the root user. Fiddly.
Unfortunately it doesn't work with Snow Leopard 64bit, and it doesn't work with the Pro modem at all. Vodafone have pledged to sort the problem out, but there are still no updates: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=35609
Kinda wish I'd never upgraded, I honestly didn't think twice about the modem. Ironically my 3 UK dongle still works fine without a reinstall, so at least I've got my fallback.
Edit: Wanna know the best bit? After installing, inserting the Pro modem results in instant kernel panic =D
