"Modems that are still running the older version 2 of Vodafone
Mobile Connect Lite software will have problems browsing
websites, this is down to an issue with the software and can be
fixed by updating the software on the modem. "
So says Vodafone here --> http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=763
You can download the 2009 software updates for the USB modems from here --> http://www.business.vodafone.com/site/bus/public/enuk/support/10_productsupport/laptop_connectivity/40_software/software/10_latest/p_vodafone_mobile_connect_lite_for_the_pc.jsp
This is supposed to resolve the many DNS-type issues that Vodafone Mobile Broadband users may be well used to experiencing. One has to wonder what on earth is wrong with the USB software that makes the DNS lookups so flaky.
