Virtually every time I have tried to send an SMS today it has failed , I rang the wife to explain , and she was having the same trouble (about 15 miles away)

Anyone else ? is the a local thing (Kent) or is t the whole network ?

All I know is it is a pain in the backside , and a little worrying after the outage the other day .

Not going to jump to any conclusions though TBH , o2 have always served me well , so lets see how things pan out.

Haven't been messaging any O2 numbers, though, afaik.

I've been on SMS and calls most of day today - no problems in North Kent or East London as far as I have experienced.

I must admit I have noticed a worrying huge increase in the number of voicemails I'm getting when my iPhone is switched on, infact it's never off, but they seem to be more when I'm using an app or web browsing!!

I sometimes get a failed to send SMS message and the red exclamation in the SMS app on the iPhone.

I hope this is a sign that O2 are doing some major upgrade work and not just at random times they are over capacity.

I was getting a lot of failed messages a week or two ago, but it seems to have cleared up again now. Lets hope it doesn't become too frequent :S
