Got a simplicity, called 202 and said i have bought a prepay iPhone 3GS and needed the Tethering Bolt-On for modem use. Expecting them to say no of course as i dont have an iPhone contract i have a 30 day sim only.

The guy on the phone told me it would be fine i can call back with my iPhone and they will go over the settings. Now i have asked for this before on many occasions and been told a flat 'no' as im not on an iPhone contract.

I told him i test phones and with with phones in my job so know about changing APN addresses..... that seemed to sway him I knew what I was on about so he told me the APN was 'mobile.o2.co.uk' and for MMS it was 'wap.o2.co.uk' and added it on for me.

I did not want to call as if i did the next person would not have done it for me.

So today i check and i have a Simplicity 30 day plan with Unlimited Texts AND 3GB of modem use with Unlimited WiFi use too..... and NO iPhone in sight (yet).

I will be using in some of my existing phones but i will be honest I am looking at getting a 16GB White 3GS on PAYG and putting this SIM in.

Went onto iTunes last night and downloaded 16 free apps... on OVI store i cant even imagine FINDING 16 free apps.

Grats on getting the tariff sorted how you want it! :) Hopefully the freedom will allow you to enjoy an iPhone, if you end up with one. The 3GS is very nice.

Lol @ OVI store. I've actually still never played with it, but I've read that it's not exactly 'over populated' right now in several reviews. I'm sure it'll catch on eventually, but I think there's still work to do on the OS before anybody gives it too much attention.
