If you want a mobile just for skype to skype and IM then that's a pretty incredible deal, especially with the free voicemail...

The moment that this company start giving something away all of the alarm bells inside my head start going off!

My advice is to stay away at all costs.

Looks a good offer.

But again I would say why bother and not just use go PAYG, you get all the benifits plus the free Texts and Internet and in fact would likely work out better cos if you top up with £10 on line you get 600 Text messages and 150MB of data plus the free voicemail, skype and IM.

Bear in mind if you want a crap CS were you talk to monkeys who read from scripts, cant think out of the box no use in resolving problems, cant pass them up the chain or to other departments, bully you into staying in your contract when they change the T & C (Like Home) then threes the network for you.

Otherwise as Handson says "stay away at all costs"

LOL :D

Perhaps they think that they can build up a customer base, then when they are making huge losses (even more than now?) they can ask our government for a handout :p

This move and the free Skype on PAYG is perhaps more about retaining numbers that would normally have to be terminated. 3 will be able to count folks who agree to taking this deal for a good while longer even if they migrate to another network.

I am very sceptical and doubt if there is a lot of milage in this other than for skype users who want to keep in touch when out and about.

This offer underlines just how lilttle folks are prepared to support 3. Everything finds its true market worth in time and if that is true then HWL have big problems with their UK 3 user base.

Looking across the networks and at the distribution channels 3 appears to be in their weakest position for many years. Its no longer hard to find better offers on both contracts and PAYG and perhaps that is another reason for this new 'giveaway' by 3.
