Anyone elses speed increased so much?

That is a very reasonable ping for mobile broadband.

Yes I have actually ! and the performance was nothing short of appauling !
I would like to tell you the speeds I was getting , but is was so slow that the Speedtest page simply would not work ! , the ping went up to 999 (maxed out I assume) and it just sat there for 2-3 minutes doing Zilch !
I have all but given up on Three Broadband TBH , the perfomance I seem to get (whenever I really need it is slower than GPRS , and probably even my Nokia HCSCD data card from yonks ago ! , I understand there can be problems , but this really takes the pee IMO as it is bad more often than not

...Still , Glad it's working for someone !

Actually, I have done one every day for the past 3 days at the same sort of time, and that was the highest, and the lowest I got was around 2.8mb. About 2 months ago, it could complete vary between 1.5mb-48kbps! Dunno what they have done, but they have definitely done something!

Hmm interesting. I'll have to see how this compares to Voda these days and add that for comparison.

3 Mobile Broadband crawls in Central Scotland.

I have just about given up on it.

I have 1GB a month and only ever make use of about 100MB because of the speed and the coverage.

I'm off to Vodafone soon for reliable voice communicaton and will be 'upgrading' to their mobile broadband too.

Hmmm, I just cannot do the 3 thing anymore. I'm just not inclined to set myself up for bad experience number four with them. I reckon I've given them sufficient chances to prove me wrong!

The thing is, walking past their store, looking at their website, seeing their ads it is always compelling to go give it another try. But no, never again.

Just playing with Vodafone - I can't touch that performance at the moment, though I'm not in a very good 3G coverage area at home.

ISP reads BT due to VPN. If I test without the VPN then I get lower ping (as expected) but the download tests are always messed up (finish instantly and report a 100kbps or so).

I have a Vodafone mast by me now and get full HSDPA at home. Tried my PAYG Modem and got upto 2.6mb which i was pleased with.

With my T-Mobile modem and 1 bar of HSDPA indoors i got around 900kb/1.2mb so that was good for the signal.
