Iam in the last seven months of contarct with three mix and match 100. I have found the coverage good, and enjoyed the fact that i have been able to use my mobile in Itlay and south of ireland with no roaming charges.

Howver I have had two issues one the crap support from CS when I phoned about a porblem iwth email on three, this resulted in four calls to Cs explaining my issue each time and getting no were which resulted in am email to exc off at three, which has taken almost three weeks to advise me what steps to take.

My issue is I had x-series add on with mobile mail, when email on three came out I liked the idea of being able to access a private and work email account at same time, I then signed up for the two week trail. However what was not made clear was that once I had gone over to email on three i could not go back to mobile mail, with the result that I had to change from x-series to internet max, that was fine for me, but then the issue arose, Ifound I could no loger access my two emails acconts and had to set up two temp ones.

I did this in the hope the issue could be resolved, as a last ditch hope I uninstalled the software and reinstalled and tried to access my email accounts with the outcome now of not being able to access any of the four.

I emailed three again and this is the offical reply:

" Thank you for your further email and I have discussed this matter with our Technical Services team,

Their feedback advises that the fault you are describing occurs when you have an email account set-up and you uninstall and reinstall this, then try to use the same email address. This can sometimes prevent the installation, as it thinks this is already in use. To rectify, Technical Services has recommended that you try and set the original emails up again.

I do appreciate the frustrations you have experienced over this period and would like to express my thanks for bringing this issue to my attention. If you do not wish to follow the recommended process, I am prepared to release you from your contract, at a reduced fee. Your current Early Termination Fee is £196.10 and I would be prepared to half this, as a resolution to the matter"

Firstly I wish to ack the work done by ex office as they unlike CS are trying, but the email on three set up is nothing short of a joke, now advised to try reusing the email accounts I cant access and this is the best tech support can advise.

I like the three network as I travel close to and sometimes over the Irish border and can use home like home for mobile and broadband, but xxxxing help anyone who has their mobile stolen, or mobile breaks down as it appears you will never be able to access your email accounts again and the best tech support can advise is to re try using your email accouts or we offier you a get out clause.

This has been 3's undoing from when it all began in March 2003. When it all works as it should the service and price are hard to beat (although even that is not always the case). But woe betide a 3 customer when things go wrong. At that point the gates of Hades open and the rest of the experience is one of utter frustration at best.

Personally, having a low hassle tolerance, my advice is pay the extra and choose another network supplier, anyone other than 3. That is, until you read that they've brought their CS back to the UK and actually empowered them to get things done!

None of the operators CS are perfect - but 3 take the crown in atrociousness.

Well just as you think things are ok with three, they like to kick you in the balls again.

Towards xmas I had problems with email on three. Which after 4 weeks and a few emails to exec off and tech support were resloved.

I added a new hotmail account, its one I use to buy and sell on ebay. Bearing in mind I can have up to 10 accounts, two days ago I get an email from three telling me my trial is up, (what the F@@@) I have internext max on the account which givens me free email access for 10 email accounts.

Ive removed the account and re added the account and now getting the good old 705 account Subscription has expired again message.

What another cock up from three, dont they get anything right, Ive now downloaded nokia messaging (email) onto the phone and its working well. each time I think of staying with three when contract is up in August, i come across another why I should leave.

Well, I hate to say it, but the iPhone does email amazingly... MobileMe's push email is fantastic, but my GMail also works really well even though it's not 'true' push - I can't imagine needing anything better! :S

Sucks that you've had problems, though. Sorry to hear that :/

What another cock up from three, dont they get anything right ........ each time I think of staying with three when contract is up in August, i come across another why I should leave.

A very sage warning to anyone considering going on to 3's network. Behind the glossy image is an organisation that is rotten to its Customer Services core.

Caveat emptor - buyer beware. If considering going to 3 this is especially vital advice.
