I've seen very few pieces probing whether the current Mobile Broadband model is sustainable and whether the networks will face capacity shortages in the near future. Sure, we've pondered on Talk3G between ourselves if, or even when, there will be a capacity crunch, but now The Register is carrying an article discussing the matter further.
Personally, I hope that the mobile networks are able to sustain Mobile Broadband in its current form and continue to improve it and add functionality, such as the Virtual Router concept I discussed on my blog (https://talk3g.co.uk/blog.php?u=2). I hope that they're taking Mobile Broadband seriously, and will not simply drop it when things start to get tight.
