What did you use your mobile phone for today?
13/06/2008 - I used my N95 8GB to send and read some text messages. I used my Vertu to receive a call and read some texts.

Cool Idea for a Thread
Yesteraday (wel , today has only just started ) on my iPhone
Made 4 calls , received about 10
Send 8 text messages , received 11
A reasonable amount of General web browsing , then a little specific web browsing which resulted in some negotiation by email - including mailing a photo of a machine fault to a service department
Showed some photos to some friends
Watched "The Apprentice - You're hired!" (missed it the other night :( )
During a very rare quiet few hours
Used Youtube to show my mate the iPhone 3G launch
oh , and charged it up :D

Yesterday, like the above :)
Nokia N95 -
exchanged a few texts
held a 1.5hr phone call (out and received) providing MS SBS tech assistance to a friend in business - used the wired headset for that
made a few assorted phone calls of short duration
accidentally launched the web browser, must change the right button function
took a couple of pictures of a very brave man setting up a tower crane - he was out at the far end of the jib 8 floors up!
Apple iPhone (2G)
made a few phone calls
exchanged some text messages
received an mms - had to use a webapp to view the image, emailed it to home for keeping, trivial to do (try that with S60)
retrieved two voicemail messages - what a delight visual voicemail is to use
surfed the web to pass a few idle moments, bbc news typically
checked google for some information that I didn't know the answer to
used WiFi in the office
used EDGE in a meeting room out of range
listened to part of an album while having a brief lunch
checked the weather for the next few days (BBQ Sunday)
used the calculator to help with some math that I was struggling with
took a quick peek at my email
Each day is different, but the above is fairly typical of the spread of apps that I use.

used the browser to read google reader via the iphone address http://www.google.com/reader/i/
listen to podcasts downloaded over wifi and 3g using the nokia podcasting app
checked the weather (http://www.ubahnstation.net/mweather/)
updated worldmate (http://www.mobimate.com/index.shtml) currency rates (going away this weekend!)
played a game
read a chapter of John Grisham's The Appeal on mobipocket (http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/application.asp?device=SymbianOs)
checked email using mail by google m.google.com/a
used twibble (http://www.twibble.de/)
This would be pretty much a daily routine.

My TyTNII today:
*The usual voice calls, in and out, I'm probably on the phone a few hours a day
*Received quite a number of pointless work emails via MS exchange
*Checked my GMail via POP
*Had a fairly large number of text messages, sent a few too
*Sent a couple of MMS
*Navigated home from a colleagues house using TomTom, with traffic updates downloaded over the 3G network
*Checked the current state of a couple of network faults via an internal web-page with some manipulation of cells states also!
And now it's back on charge as my data connections and Bluetooth are in use ALL day!

24/06/2008 - (N95 8GB) I made and received a few brief calls, and sent and received text messages... (Vertu) Received a call and text messages.
It's damn lucky I've got this N95 8GB, given all the advanced functionality I use.
