A promotion like that should have unlimited free video calling between the two handsets. Otherwise it's just a free phone that's going to be dumped on eBay and most likely box broken.

Perhaps this is the behavior that even the mighty Vodafone have to get into in a market that is running at 105% saturation (see here (https://talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?p=26994#post26994))

Margins are good in the UK, the pressure in such a market is going to be that of significantly limiting churn. We can only expect service quality to be driven up relentlessly, along with some spectacular failures along the way (are you listening Kevin Russell, dump Mumbai and do it quickly or it will all be for n'owt!).
