Was helping a customer today setup the USB modem he took from store also today. He had his Vista laptop when he came back in so we sat down and i got it working.

Was a little shocked to see when i connected the USB Manager said on screen 3 (HSDPA) and it was lighting quick. Now where i live we are not supposed to get HSDPA until Jan/Feb so when i saw this i nearly jumped out my chair and danced around the shop floor.

Went onto the HSDPA phones we have loading the browser and indeed for today at least we have HSDPA at work. Also there is a laptop plugged in to demo to customers so i was checking out the speeds today. Top speed of 2.2mb on a USB modem. I was so happy to see such a thing!.

I was happy before on T-Mobile when i got HSDPA speeds of about 700k but 2.2mb from 3 is awesome.

Will enjoy work all that much more now :)

Have you not got a little in-store cell site installed at your 3 store? Could that of been upgraded to show the customers in store the speeds they'll be able to get? Perhaps the network around you is still due for Jan/Feb?

Either way, good to see the speeds are on the up!

There is no cell in store as we get good 3G on 3 in Torquay anyway. Back home (20mins from store) and im back on normal 3G. Will be using my phone tomorrow all the way in to see just WHEN i manage to hit the HSDPA connection

I seem to get HSDPA quite often now, so the network is definitely rolling out.

That's good news. I take it the situation has improved with Three's broadband offering now? It'll be great value once they've got their act together and finished the HSDPA rollout.

Unfortunately you'll still have to speak to a really helpful Indian guy called Dave if anything goes wrong. :D
