Hi i phoned o2 to request pac code and asked how much notice i needed to give to stop contract she said 30 days but when i requested pac code she said the contract would stop when three took over my number is that right ? The number transfer negates the 30 day deal ?.
Oh they offered me
1500 off peak mins
500 txt
and nokia n95 for free
if i stayed.
Any word on what phones or offeres will be available with the new 3 deals on the 1st.
Cheers

30 days is more of a technicality. When I cancelled my Three contract they disconnected me the moment I hung up (which was hella inconvenient). Your contract will indeed cease when the port happens but I suppose O2 are within their terms to bill you for the rest of the month. Still, I'm going to guess they'll stop billing you also.
For what monthly price and on what contract period did O2 offer you that deal?
No idea what will be out on what tariff on Three, maybe getti can shed some light on that.

cheers for reply,
sorry forgot to add that 18 month and 25 quid,
i would love the n95 but not on o2 kinda would defeat the purpose of having it,
hopefully it will drop in price on the 20 quid texter deal on 3 :)

Well when I ported from O2 to three the contract with O2 ended the day the number ported. I did receive a final bill which stated that I owed them £0.00 which was a relief!
The contract with three (or presumably any one else) will start the day you 'contract' with them i.e. whenever you purchase your new handset and tariff.
That's not a bad deal, but if you want 3g services kindly thank them for their 'kind' offer and walk away. Quickly.:D
By the way, one of my mates got an N95 on orange, but complains now that he can't get coverage in The Bot (bar/meat market in belfast). Not sure if that's a reflection on the N95 or orange. Or the Bot!

surely no coverage in the bot would be a good thing ?
i get no o2 coverage in the back bar in Laverys .
this could be a major topic which bars have black spots :)

In all the times I've been there, I never thought they would have a website!
Well here it is: The Bot (http://www.thebotanicinn.com/index.asp).
They actually make it sound as bad as it is, but they fail to mention the sticky floors, over flowing toilets and the stench from BO since the smoking ban.
It's my favorite bar in Belfast!

Well, as this thread is totally OT anyway...
I saw Snow Patrol at the O2 not long ago. They were unbelievably good. It helped that the acoustics etc were so good in there I guess, but yeah, wow.
