Many of you will know that I own, and love, a Sony TX2 series ultraportable notebook.
Updates have been out since, but none quite as vast as the brand new redesigned machine - the TZ1.

The new machine features a dual core processor, DVD writer, LED backlit screen and both 2GB's RAM and a 32GB Solid State Drive if your budget can stretch. Yes, no moving parts hard drive! And, in true Sony style, this thing weighs just 1.19kg.
I'll have to wait until the Apple World Wide Developer Conference to see if they release their own new laptops before making a decision, but as you can see from the TR review this new Sony should be on everyones shortlist for a thin, light notebook - Windows or otherwise!
