View Full Version : O2- What a joke

Not happy, I've had bad experiences since day 1, but it's beyond a joke now. I cannot even call CS due to "network failure" or "heavy traffic". I've emailed them, but they'll do nothing and to think I left three for this. I can sit and watch my phone's signal fluctuate from nothing to 5 bars in a matter of seconds, yet with another sim (orange and vodafone here in the house or when I'm roaming) I get a full strength 3g signal.

What are my options? I'm tempted to go back to vodafone on that 30 day sim only contract. Can I pay off my contract early and port my number? I'm up for renewal in June so it wont cost me that much to cancel now.

In some areas O2 does experience capacity issues. This is probably exasperated by, I'd imagine, less network investment on the part of O2 since the BT spin-off compared to Vodafone, and the massive influx of subscribers.

You can indeed pay off your contract early (buy yourself out) and port back to Vodafone.

Vodafone's SIM-Only 30-day contracts haven't been updated in ages, making them feel a little stale, and since MMS was removed from that mother of all free extras packs (£120 value!) my bills have increased, but at the end of the day it's still a fantastic offering and one that serves me very well. It also gives you the flexibility to move around as you will, or take up a network on that once-in-a-blue-moon unmissable promotion.

Oh dear, oh dear, O2 are losing the plot completely!

Just an update.
O2 replied with a standard email about how my postcode suggested I was in a strong area etc. I would have countered, but I just don't have the will anymore. Ah well, bye bye O2 :p

Does no one read the actual content of a Customer complaint these days? Dont forget to shut the door behind you when you leave, and pop the keys back inside the letterbox ;)

Note my surprise when I got an email yesterday from someone representing O2 asking me to take a survey regarding my recent email to O2 CS.
Needless to say I filled it in and then some!
