The BBC are running a poll on their news website asking for your view of TV content via the net (http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/default.stm?dynamic_vote=ON#vote_vote_lost). The results are somewhat surprising to me. I would have thought that there would have been a more positive reaction. Judging by [the number of] those who said they buy their content it does not bode very well for those wanting to sell us TV content via non-traditional means.
I believe that this could very well be indicative of the likely interest in TV over mobile also. What do you think? Will 3G [or 4G and their successors] have to look for another "killer application" ? Is there ever likely to be this killer app that they are all striving to find, and which will remove ever more money from our pockets? I somehow doubt it!!
What is your view of TV content via the net?
It doesn't interest me = 47.89%
I download TV shows via BitTorrent = 45.95%
I buy content from TV studios and iTunes = 6.16%
