Apparently these two are talking to each other, with Orange planning on using Yahoo as their search engine, just from personal POV I'd quite miss Google on the Orange World page as the search engine. I suppose I've always the choice of heading off to Google if I want!


Yahoo makes progress with mobile browser deals
Yahoo and Orange are planning to cooperate to bring Yahoo's search engine to Orange customers. Yahoo has a similar deal with mobile operator 3 (HK). Google has T-Mobile as its partner.

Urgh! I'm with you 3g-g, Google would be sorely missed from Orange World. It was it's most redeeming feature when I used to frequent the Orange World pages.

If it were a similar deal to 3's then I assume some sort of web page reformatting/optimisation on the network side would also be possible? I'm not sure how I feel about that kinda stuff... I like to think that Internet data makes it to handsets without too much faffing about from the networks.
