Does anyone know of any fancy new handsets coming out in the next few months? It seems after the debut of the Nokia N80 and SonyEricsson K800i, the handset market has gone quiet.

Samsung are just producing the same handsets over and over again wih an inch taken off here and there. Motorola just seem to be rehashing the RAZR over and over. It seems SonyEricsson and Nokia are the only ones at the moment who are actually pushing handsets forward!

I'm not aware of anything particularly striking due to be coming out. I reckon that there will be improvements on the N80 and SE W and K models but nothing much radical in the UK until, perhaps, DVB-H if that ever gets ratified by the UK regulators.

If subsidies are to be cut, as is hinted in the media, we may see an even greater stagnation of new models in the future - unless the retail prices drop very significantly.
