Hi all,
Could you guys post settings that you have used to get unsupported phones working with 3, like browser, gprs, mms settings.I am asking as I am compiling a document with all of these in. I feel that this will be a great use to people buying sim free phones with intentions of using them on 3 (I intend to do that when I get my M600I)
Thanks

You will find a number of postings about this on this forum - a good starting place would be https://talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?t=857 which are the settings for the LG U81xx. Or there was a discussion at https://talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2099
This topic has come up several times and there are more elsewhere on the forum, so if the above does not give you all that you want then try a search on here for what you're after.
The only thing to bear in mind is that there is no "generic" browser homepage URL. 3 have created specific homepages for each and every 3G handset that they have in their portfolio. Some will work across other handsets, but it is a bit of a guessing game.
For example http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/lg/HutchKey is specific to the LG U81xx series (it may work on other LG, I've not tested it). The Motorola C975 has its own URL http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/C975/HutchKey - but it is not always quite so obvious!!
More info; this is the text of an instruction I have for the C975 - if the handset you are programming has other parameters leave them defaulted or blank, these are all the settings that need to be established.

Your difficulty will be keying the settings for each discrete handset make and model, they look different and are in different menu places. Making a generic one size fits all is not practical.
Good luck with your project.
