Is there anyway to transfer all the contacts from the phone memory to the sim...




without being able to see the screen? :p

I've got an old 3310 to use until my new N80 comes through, but all the contacts are on the N80's memory.

I can synchronise with the computer, but obviously the 3310 doesn't have bluetooth or infrared.

Any ideas?
A speedy reply would really be nice, as I need it for tonight:D

Ah, you need another N80 user to give you the specific keypresses to adopt to make this happen. Sorry I don't have one but I'm sure one of our handy N80 users on here will oblige.

However, I'm sure you'll still need to see the screen eh?! It would of needed to be: menu soft key, press down twice, left soft key, down 4 times and so on...

Aye, cheers guys. The manual tells me how it can be done, but it doesn't tell me how far down to scroll for setttings, etc. I think really need a set of key presses. I think I might be able to get a hold of another smart phone which would enable me to transfer the contacts from the computer to this other phone then from that phone to the sim. But that is still another couple of days away, so any help would be much appreciated.

Ok on mine it's as follows:
press menu key
push up once and select
top left soft key
key down 9 times
scroll right
push down and select
top left soft key and select
scroll down 4 times
scroll right and select

That should copy all your contacts to the sim directory.

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work. I can only think that my menus are laid out differently to yours.

Do you access your contacts from a short key?

Hmm, it must be laid out differently.
I get to my contacts by pressing the down button.

Ok, have you tried pushing down for starters so that you should be in contacts.
Then try this:
top left soft key
key down 9 times
scroll right
push down and select
top left soft key and select
scroll down 4 times
scroll right and select

Cheers again gorilla, but still no luck I'm afraid, maybe my phone is more broken than I think.
I'm going to transfer the contacts to another phone and then text all the numbers to the sim while it is in the temp phone.

what network are you on if its orange you have the photo thing first!

press end call to reset the first screen.
if on orange right once.
push down on the middle direction button
left soft key
press down 7 times
push in
down once
push in
left soft key
push down 3 times
right once
push down on the button
