I have 2 phones, (LG u880 and Nokia 6280) on the 3 Network. The only way to hide caller ID when I make a call, is to select the option to withold my number from ALL of my contacts, or from NONE of my contacts. It is not possible to withold from some and not from others. However, I believe that there is software available, or a patch for the phone, which will allow me to do this - that is to withold numbers as I dial them, probably by using 141. Can anyone please tell me what software I need and where to find it. Thank you.

Hello Gill, welcome to Talk3G.
Could you maybe just create an entry for contacts where you wish to keep your number private that is prefixed 141 in the phonebook?
I've not used software on my handsets that performs the action you require, but I'll keep my eyes open.

I've done that - about 50% of my numbers are prefixed with 141 already. I have done this for other networks such as T-Mobile and Vodafone with no problem but 3 won't allow me to use 141 when I choose on individual numbers.
