Following on from this thread (https://talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?p=13616#post13616), I received a hopeful text from Sky Mobile today - a service I had almost completely forgotten about.

"You will soon be prompted to download new software from Sky by mobile. This features Sky TV Guide & soon Remote Record with Sky+ all from your mobile"

So, if the message is to be believed, recording television from your mobile phone via an interactive TV guide could be just around the corner. Phwoar.

A nice little bonus prize for those amongst us who recently made the leap and ordered Sky+! With all this convergence/IPTV stuff going on it couldn't have come at a better time.

Yep, Sky had mentioned it in a mailshot I got a couple of months ago, they can't bring this service out any quicker! The number of times I've gone out somewhere and not remembered to hit record, or have been at someone's house and thought I wish I'd recorded that... now I'll be able to with a wee text sent from my mobile! Hoorah! :D
