Hi All,

Well I've had my 6280 for nearly a week na dhave had a good play with it. But I've got a couple of things that appear to be a little strange:

1. "GO TO" Menu.
If I go to the "GO TO" Menu and select options I've customised it and have about 8 items. Now I have 'UNMARKED' Voice Mailbox *MANY* times and of course saved the GO TO settings. AND without fail Voice Mailbox always comes back on the list without me doing anything. Not straight away, i.e. if I come out and go back into the GO TO menu, it's fine. At 12 o'clock last night, I removed Voice Mailbox - Got up today. It's there again!!!!! Is it me?! Could someone else try it..... it's bugging me.

2. "New Text Message"
I enter any old message using predictive and for example I write:
"Hello you're looking good today" Now whenever I type you're the "Y" then always appears in upper case. So it straight away changes to "Hello You're looking good today" - but only happens when you type a ' - if I type youre it's fine! Obviously I know I'm not a great typist but I do try, even with text messaging! Lol -- I know this is only minor but kinda annoys me when it shouldn't happen! :)

Is it me or am I bugged? :-)

Well, my N80 doesn't do that (I turned on predictive especially... damn I hate that thing). How totally odd!

Right I have tried the "Remove Voice Mailbox" thing and it is still gone so I'll wait until tomorrow to see if it comes back overnight. You did "Save Changes" didn't you?

I also tried the "Hello you're looking good today" and it comes out exactly as I typed it, no upper-casing of the Y in you're. I'm at a loss to think what the problem could be with it. You're running the same version of the firmware as me, and from the same Mobile Op. It has to be a "soft" issue, but what exactly is a mystery :confused: .

Yes I did "Save Changes" :) I'd be interesting to see whether the Voice Mailbox reappears again in your handset in the GO TO menu! I hope it does as I'm getting a bit fed up finding these things by my lonesome!

As for the texting thing... Mmm, I'm thinking of doing a handset reset. Then start all over again with the phone! I assume this resets everything even the 'saved' predictive words that have been added to the dictionary (just in case it was me who did it that way in the first place and it's now been saved to the phone's memory!)

What you mean "....soon be..." :D

If you can stand a handset reset that may be the answer to the problem, but I do recall reading somewhere that on an S40 phone the reset is not as it is on an S60! It may not reset everything to zero again.

I'll probably try and handset reset, if it works it works.. what have I got to lose.. O'yeah, all my data and config in da phone! doh!
