Cant wait for T-Mobile to get Web N Walk up and running (expected 20th May 2006)? Then why not load up Opera Mini directly and get surfing right away?

With another Mobile Network Operator and fed up using only the built-in WAP browser, wishing you had something better? Then ditto the above.

The 6280 Jar and Jad files are available here at the Opera Mini 6280 Download Page (http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/phones/?phone=nokia_6280)

All I did was to download them to the PC, use Nokia Suite to transfer the two files into a new directory on the 6280's memory card (saves using phone memory) and then [on the handset] navigate to and click on the Opera Mini icon in that directory.

The app came preconfigured to work "out of the box" - so there was absolutely no set up required. Just enter in the URL, accept the EULA and off you go! Browsing on the 6280 like wot it ought to be :D

A full FAQ (http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/faq/) is available on the Opera Mini web site

The Opera Mini Help (http://help.opera.com/operamini/1.2/en/) pages are also worth a review even if you don't have any problems with making it work.

Assumptions:
I am assuming that it is using my T-Mobile Web N Walk data allowance to communicate directly with an Opera Mini server at the Opera site.

NB: With thanks to Bleubean for getting me fired up about this.
