Here's a great tool I found for finding out a bit about someones mobile phone number. It tells you the operator name, network name, network status, launch date and website.

It's free and very easy to use.

You could try this although aimed at keeping an eye on your kids

That child locate seems really good, it seems like that's as good as you could get without physically being logged into a HLR/VLR and looking at your cell ID and timing advance... but I'd presume that's the info it's using anyway. Quite impressed with that from a network engineer point of view.

Could get pricey if you're the easily worried type!
