N70 cover

i ve dropped my n70 quiet a few time and now its got a few dints and scratches, but also there is some dust/dirt under the screen, does any one know or can show me a step by step diagram of how to take apart the cover so i can clean and replace it?

Pulled this from expansys:

There are 6 latches all in all. 2 in the bottom part, 2 about 1/4 for the top then 2 in the top part. first remove the bottom part. i would suggest to use a paper clip or if you have though nails you can use them too. remove one side then the other. after that every thing else is easy, pull the front cover carefully from the middle latches then slide the cover upward. if you do all this carefully then you successfully removed the front cover :)

Apparently its easier once you've got the new cover..

Out of curiosity - how did you get on with changing your cover?
I've recently ordered meself a snazzy black number for my N70 off ebay.

Fingers crossed I wont need a hammer & chisel to change it.

If it's anything like the cover for the 6680 then it's easy. I bought my cover off ebay and it came with a tool to make it easy to put on. It's basically a skewer!

Well - my cover arrived yesterday.

Had a quick study and a play around with a standard kitchen knife and its all sorted!

I now have a super swish black N70.

( If I look at and squint a bit - I can imagine its an N80 - lol )

I'll try and take a picture of it later - its uber cool!

These HK covers are very good indeed - a little while back I bought a replacement cover for a Sony T610 prior to sale on eBay. I'd challenge anyone no to think it was the real thing, it was that good!

I'd like a new cover for my 6680 but 3 wont unlock it for me as I bought it off eBay so I'll have to way for the BB5 to be cracked first!

Well after about a week of waiting for my case to arrive i have it on now and... IT looks dead sexy now!!! all of my friends don't know anything because they all say that it looked better in silver. there just all jelous because they dont have symbian phones!
