A friend at work has just bought a Nokia N-70 SIM Free and now has a Vodafone PAYG SIM. He wants to use Vodafone Live and all the normal Vodafone 3G services on it.

How does he go about that?

Are there configurators on the Vodafone website for Live, SMS, MMS etc?

Does he need to manually input settings?

Some suggestions would be appreciated.

There is one on the Nokia website. Infact the best thing is to check the Nokia site and install an app called Settings Wizard. once you choose your network it downloads all the settings and gets the phone up and running

There are also configurators on the Vodafone website. By far the easiest way is to phone Vodafone - they'll happily get them up and running, they have for all my SIM-Free phones so far, even the Vertu!

OTA (Over The Air) configuration settintgs are available for the N70, just phone up customer care and they can send them to your friends phone.
