This new addition to the LG range is headed for the USA where they have UMTS at 1900Mhz.

It sports a 1.3MP camera and specs are sililar to the U880 Muse.

It is rumoured to be coming to the 3 network in Q2 2006.

If you don't mind me saying, it's marginally better looking than it's predecessor, but urgh - that Razr keypad is a big letdown. I've seen a few phones with copycat Razr keypads, do they honestly think the keypad is the big seller? IMHO the keypad is the biggest letdown - it's the form factor and opening mechanism that people click with.

Are we really back to Spot the Difference all over again?

I know what you are saying Ben but to be fair the U890 looks like a good RAZR alternative.

Could this be the handset that LG offer Vodafone to get some increased exposure in the UK?

LG Europe bosses are unhappy with their UK performance now and seem to be looking to become a 'mainstream' handset supplier.

They will have to offer some exclusives to redress the balance if they want to achieve that ambition I suspect.

Hopefully the 1.3MP camera spec on this device will be upgraded to at least 2MP by the time it appears in the UK.
