Ive read some hit'n'miss reviews of the N70's screen. A number of sites say that they expected the N70's screen to be much better than it is.

But how do the "real" users of this phone think? Has it got a good screen?

It's pretty similar to the 6680 screen is it not? I was under the impression it was the same resolution and with the same number of colours, just that the interface was slightly different.

I've had a play around with my friends n70 today, there's not much between it and the 6680. I think some of the icons are a bit nicer to look at, you know, nice round the edges, look a bit more professional. That's about it really.

To be honest, the screen was my only disapointment with this phone. I moved from a Samsung D500 and that had such a lovely screen. Sharp, clear, incredible colour plus, and this is the kicker, it was highly visible in bright sunlight.

I don't think the screen on the N70 is as good as the one on the D500, but since I got the phone during winter and we don't get much sunlight up here in scotland, I can't really compare the screens in bright sunlight until the one day of sun we have. It is penciled in for July 28th.. I'll let you know then.. :)

The screen is pretty much the same - slight hardware change but nothing that affects colours or pixels - just lifetime and resilience. The main overhaul was the interface - sharper better designed icons and better folder structure.
