Just watched Coronation Street there and at the end Craig was watching a video sent to him from his girlfriend.

Could this mean 3G has hit the mainstream now that it is featured in a soap?

Well, it's certainly recognition that the technology is out there and people are using it. Rather a bizzare inclusion though! Did it look 'natural' or did it stick out like a sore thumb?

Surprisingly it looked natural, which i wasnt expecting. I want to see soaps use more videocalling etc, as this will show the wider public how it can be used!!

Well if the Tina O'Brien (Sarah Platt) or Samia (Maria) want to give me their number i wont mind video calling them :p :D

You don't need 3G to send a video message though, but yeah video calling on the TV would make people want to be able to do that

Lip's girlfriend on Shameless (Tuesdays, 10pm, C4) wanted a 3G phone. She got one but I had no idea what phone it was!

They used to use 3G phones in 'Location Location' on C4. NEC e808's if I remember rightly!!!

Location Location Location? I think I remember seeing 3G phones in that... being able to see is rather important when it comes to buying houses!
