Hello
I have just reflashed my phone to get rid of vodafone after getting the white screen of death. I can longer find where to lock it to 2g or 3g. Does this option not exst in the sony ericsson version? If it does how do you do it?
Apart from that I am very happy with the new look!!
thanks

Hey :D
It's in Settings > Connectivity tab > Mobile Networks > GSM/3G Networks.
I only know the generic Walkman branding... was the Vodafone branding very different? I can't imagine that the orange Walkman and red Vodafone brands would look pretty together!

Mine doesn't have this option!!! :-(
The vodafone branding had different options and branding. The instant messager has gone, as has the option to watch the tv without going through the vodafone wap site (didn't work though). Also the games no longer have a 60 second trial before you have to buy!

Mhm strange... what's your software version? Doesn't sound like the full generic one. Mine's C011 prgCXC 1250252 R5AC011 000000
Do you have Settings > General > Update Service? If so, try doing an update.

Lol, just picked mine up to do a software update check and it had turned itself off ;)
Ok, there we go: Your phone already has the latest software.
Bizzare. Maybe our software versions are intended for different markets/regions? '1250252' and '1250057' doesn't really tell us much I guess.

my languages are all easten european, not the usual french, spanish etc etc. Maybe that makes the difference. It's annoying me though, as the battery goes down much faster as I work in a non 3g area. I want it off while I work to save the battery.
