I have purchased a new memory card for my nokia n70 however when i copy all files from both the original mem card that came with the phone and my tomtom sat nav card onto my new one the files copy ok but when i switch my phone on i have none of the installed applications

can you please tell me what i am doing wrong

You need to format the card in the phone first, then copy only the files needed/wanted from old to new card to the appropriate folders.

thanks i got it to work when connecting the phone via usb it wasn't allowing me to copy the system directory. putting it into a card reader solved this.
