Thought I would port my main number into 3 for the remainder of my contract (6 months). That way i can end the 3 contract easily and keep my number.

Called CS (Mumbai). No problems at all. Everything handled perfectly with the exception of the call dropping before the CSA could finish his 'anything else we can do for you today' bit.

Number now ported as promised, no sign of the written confirmation, but who cares?

It took a week for them to do it, not bad!

So 3 can do some things well after all.

I'll be porting my number soon when my contract comes to an end so lets hope my porting goes as smoothly fingers crossed.

You have to watch......

Last time I ported out they gave me a PAC that was out of date by the time I handed it to my new network. I soon rectified that though with a call to Glasgow.

They might tell you they will post the PAC to you which is nonsense as most other networks just send an SMS.... easy!

Even though there are still plenty of negative posts about 3cs across many forums, I have noticed that there are also more positive comments being made. Theres no doubt that 3cs has some way to go and should have got there along time ago, I still think its a step in the right direction.

Indeed. I suspect now that many have ditched the older NEC products and moved on they will have fewer problems to deal with. That said the number of poor reviews and comments is still way too high and hopefully once the current LG U8120 fiacsco has been resolved things will settle down for them.
