Now, maybe this is something people will have known about for ages, but I just discovered it today!

If you're on Orange you can dial 477 from your handset. You'll go into a bunch of options for Orange ring tunes, there's about 5 free options to pick from or if you're aware of the 5 digit number associated with the Orange tracks from Orange World you can pick any of the tracks available.

Now, what happens is, when someone rings you they get a nice bit of music to listen to! They also get the normal ringing tone in the background so you know it's actually ringing, however, I'd expect that to change in the future if you wanted it to.

It's just a bit of a gimmick, but I'm a bit of a sucker for these things! :p

That's really quite cool! :D I was aware that it's done in other countries but not that it's in active use here. I may have to change someone elses sometime! *Hunts those 5 digit numbers*

They might not be best pleased if they get charged for your changing their ringing tone...
