Hi,

I have recently upgraded to a nokia 6680 phone and changed my car kit to the Nokia CK-7W

I have installed the kit in the car and all seems to be working fine.

One question tho - is there anyway to set the phone lights to be on all the time while it is in the car kit (connected via cable not bluetooth). As it is at the moment, its ver difficult to see whats on the screen when its in the car as there is not much light hitting the sensor - therefore it dims the screen.

I am looking for a way to override this while it is plugged into the car.

Any thoughts?

Hi, welcome to Talk3G!

You can edit the brightness in settings, and also ramp up the backlight time to up to a minute, but there doesn't appear to be anything that does exactly what you're looking for. :( Perhaps there's a third party application knocking around that could help... you could try http://www.my-symbian.com/

Also, FExplorer lets you turn the backlight on permanently... a bit of a chore but it'd be better than nothing on long journeys.
